News…News

Hi all,

Before saying anything else, I would like to dedicate some time to thank all the people that gave me some useful feedback on Shellter. Your voice has been heard and most of your suggestions have been applied already.

I recently came back from holiday, and to be honest after spending 3 weeks next to an awesome beach in Greece it’s not easy to get things right in my head. :O)

Seriously now…it’s not!

However, I have started designing the next big update on Shellter that will make a huge difference and you will certainly love it.

In the meantime, if you have anything to say, suggest, or just throw a ‘hi’ at me, then feel free to contact me.

Cheers,

Shellter in ArchAssault

I am happy and proud to announce that Shellter is now part of the ArchAssault repo. This is  a great pay off for all the ‘free’ time that I dedicated to the development of Shellter.

Many thanks to all the people behind ArchAssault that made this possible and to arch3y for handling all the communication during the process.

Have fun!

Shellter v1.7 Wine Beta #1 -Released-

Finally, the first native Windows & Wine/CrossOver compatible build of Shellter has been released.

The new updates not only allow Linux/Mac users to take advantage of Shellter without the need of a Windows VM, but also enhance the tracing speed to another level.

Furthermore, the tracing option ‘Start Trace from EntryPoint/System DLL’ has been removed from this new build since it was there mostly for testing and it will be probably replaced by another one. However, this option is still available in the Windows-Only compatible build of Shellter v1.7.

Last but not least, there is a known issue in the tracer of the first Wine/CrossOver compatible build. The tracer might return RMEM_ERROR_02 and stop the tracing stage. When this happens, you can still proceed with the injection stage by using the already logged execution flow. This issue is rare, and I will try to eliminate it as soon as possible, when I get some time to spend on it.

Enjoy,
